JAWIIN COMIC DRIVE FOR SOLDIERS 2019
Welcome to the landing page for the fifth annual JAWIIN COMIC DRIVE FOR SERVICE MEMBERS. Founded by former soldier and comic book writer, Jason Inman (Super Soldiers, Love is Love, Jupiter Jet, Science!), the comic drive is a collaborative effort with Operation Gratitude.
Find out more about Operation Gratitude right here: https://www.operationgratitude.com/
To date we have sent over 134,964 comic books in care packages to US Service Members and their families.
This year our goal is to send 15,000 comic books to United States Military Members deployed overseas, injured veterans recuperating in hospitals all over the world, and their family members back home. The comics can be single issues or graphic novels from any company or genre, new and gently used. Please only donate comics that are in good shape. If you wouldn’t want to receive a book of a certain condition, don’t send it to a Service Member.
**Since donations will be going to children please keep them PG-13 at the most extreme.**
Inman, a veteran himself, served in the Army and spent time overseas in Iraq, which is why he’s looking for your help. This is why we are pleased to invite you to support the troops overseas in the fourth annual JAWIIN COMIC DRIVE FOR SERVICE MEMBERS!
Donations are accepted from November 1st - November 30.
This year the Jawiin Comic Drive for Service Members is officially partnering with Collectors Paradise, one of Los Angeles’s premiere comic book stores, for the 2019 campaign! All 3 Collectors Paradise locations will serve as drop off locations for Los Angeles local donors. Additionally, for every comic donated to a Collectors Paradise location the store will match your donation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How should I ship my comics?
A: Whatever is the most economical means for you and keeps the comics intact is fine by us. Approximately 50 comics books can fit in a USPS Medium Flat Rate Box Domestically for $13.65 (cheaper if you use a service like Stamps.com).
Q: Can I send graphic novel novels?
Q: Can I send prose books?
Q: Can I send blu-rays and dvds?
Q: Do I really need to send a photo? Can’t I just send you my count?
A: The photo is the only proof we have of your donation. Please send a photo.
Q: Can I get a tax write off or a receipt for my donation?
A: The Jawiin Comic Drive for Service Members is not a charity. It is a campaign. If this keeps you from donating, then perhaps some self-reflection is in order.
Q: Can I donate to the drive outside the month of November?
A: Unfortunately not. This is a specific campaign that we run during the month of November. However, you can donate to Operation Gratitude 24/7/365, so please feel free to donate to them at any point throughout the year.
